19th C. Hand Carved Wood Round Table
Marble, Top Center Entrance Hall Gueridon Elegant French Circa 1830-1848 King Louis Philippe with Hand Sculpted Saint Anne marble-top center table. A fantastic marble top mahogany center Hall table. Superb quality shown in the bulbous and reed carved column, the gadrooned urn-form pedestal, on acanthus carved tripod legs terminating in meticulous lions paw Claw feet with original hidden casters and a beautiful elegant frieze bronze doré gilded. The Marble is in its original condition three rows of multiple grooving around the top and on the outside edge. Fine example of Louis Philippe furniture.
Mahogany Grain at its finest in the High End Furniture making for the Elegant chateaux etc. These tables were used in the Mas and Manoir (Manors) . It's the perfect addition to your home as a side table , between two, to have a chinoiserie Vase piece of art on top . or as a game table, a serving table , or as a center table in your Grand Entrance.
Dramatic yet simple curves and opulence . Aesthetically , The Louis Philippe style denotes a French style of furniture in vogue during the reign of Louis Philippe who ruled from 1830 to 1848. It's characteristics are simple softly rounded lines, using darker woods such as mahogany, walnut and palissandre, with very little decoration. Surfaces are often marble topped.
