About the Item
20th Century Italian Empire Style Wooden Guéridon with Bronze and Marble Top. We present this splendid gueridon table, made in Italy in the second half of the 20th century. Made of solid wood with a fantastic shade of mahogany red, it is characterized by a design inspired by the sumptuous Empire style.
Its line is slender with long legs and a round top in fine marble with delicate olive green veining. Of great visual impact are the decorations applied in finely chiseled gilded bronze that adorn the entire table. Of particular value are the caryatid heads that dominate as capitals at the beginning of the legs. At the end of the legs you can see particular paw feet. All details that perfectly emulate the desire to amaze with the sumptuousness of the Empire style.
From a functional point of view, this gueridon table is perfect as a support base for a sculptural work of art, a large vase or a large collectible ceramic. Its scenographic presence will immediately attract attention and will highlight your exhibited work of art.
Its condition is very good, the bronze has acquired a beautiful patina and the signs of wear are consistent with the passage of time.
