Materials
composition – brass side tables with steel base
This pair of side tables combines hand-worked brass tops with cylindrical bases in matte black steel. Each model presents a distinct surface treatment, highlighting two approaches to artisanal brass craftsmanship.
Version 1A – hammered brass tabletop
The first version features a circular top with a fine hammered relief, producing a compact grain reminiscent of shagreen. Light settles naturally into the surface, while the polished brass border defines the circular perimeter. Diameter: 40 cm. Height: 45 cm.
Version 1B – engraved brass tabletop with geometric pattern:
The second version is engraved with a geometric composition formed by intersecting linear segments. The pattern creates directional movement across the brass, finished in the same aged tone. Diameter: 40 cm. Height: 49 cm.
Fabrication

Both tops are entirely worked by hand, either through repeated hammering or fine engraving. Subtle variations in tone and texture reflect the manual nature of the process. The brass edges retain a smooth polished contour, contrasting with the tactile surfaces.
