About the Item
Crafted in France circa 1930, this elegant early 20th century guéridon is designed in the Louis XVI style and features a round mahogany top with finely executed marquetry in a radiating pattern. The surface is encircled by a delicate pierced brass gallery, adding both decorative appeal and functional protection. The apron is adorned with well-cast gilt bronze mounts, including ribbon-tied floral swags and lyre motifs at each corner. Four fluted, tapering legs terminate in gilt bronze sabots, providing stability and a touch of neoclassical elegance. Retaining a warm, rich patina, this versatile table is ideal as a side table, occasional table, or decorative centerpiece in both formal and relaxed settings.
