About the Item
A gorgeous French marble-top gueridon table from the Restauration period (19th century). This round pedestal table is topped with a disc of black, fossil marble with gray inclusions like constellations and carved to a low lip around the circumference. Below is a solid mahogany pedestal base carved and turned to six facets, branching into three scrolled legs ending in paw feet. This substantial gueridon would find a multitude of uses around the home and in different rooms as an end or side table. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior.
