About the Item

The amazing pair of carved and giltwood stands are in the George III style, and feature Robert Adam style Neoclassical motifs. The tripod form base having carved paw feet supporting scrolled legs are adorned with acanthus leaves. Other motifs include swags, tassels and pine cone finials. The massive marble bases are truly impressive.
