About the Item

A unique, Kelly-green painted farm table from 19th century England, formerly a kitchen prep table and other homestead work, perfect for adapting to a kitchen island in the modern interior as it contains eight drawers for convenient storage and retrieval. The planks of the top surface are arranged like a breadboard with smooth, lightly patinated texture and golden color. The thick apron contains four small storage drawers per long side to organize kitchen gadgets and utensils or whatever one might need around the home or creative studio. Two pairs of square, muscular legs support the scale of the table joined by stretchers across the length and width–all painted a vibrant and energizing Kelly green. The proportions and quality craftsmanship of the table could easily adapt to a multitude of uses around the home, even to a retail or business environment as a display fixture. As well, the table could easily be lifted and adapted into a kitchen island or work table on casters. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this antique farm table is ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. Apron height: 27”
