About the Item

This rare European carpenter’s workbench dates from the early 20th century and is crafted in Pinho de Riga (Riga pine), a material highly regarded for its strength, stability, and fine grain. Originally used in traditional woodworking workshops, the bench reflects the honest construction and functional design characteristic of its period. The piece features a robust structure, rich surface patina, and visible marks of use that attest to its history and authenticity. Beyond its original utilitarian purpose, it can now serve as a sculptural console, central table, or statement piece in both residential and commercial interiors. A genuine and increasingly hard-to-find example of early 20th-century European craftsmanship. We are proud members of the Brazilian Modern Design Guild (BMDG), a collective dedicated to preserving and promoting the integrity of Brazil’s design heritage. This affiliation reflects our ongoing commitment to authenticity, transparency, and excellence in every piece we offer. Collectors and design professionals can purchase with full confidence, knowing that every work in our collection is an authentic example of historical design.
