About the Item

A French, 18th century work table in two tiers, formerly a drapery table where dramatic window treatments could be assembled at a comfortable standing height and scale. The tall and large surface area is ideal for any creative pursuit from the artist’s studio to home baker–perfect as an unexpected kitchen island. The forgiving top surface is already well patinated, made of multiple planks with a slight overhang. Solid, square legs support a lower shelf for additional storage and display leaving a gap between the floor to access outlets or other utilities. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this antique work table is ready for your interior. Please be sure to view the detailed images to see the current condition.
