About the Item

Important industrial island counter, fully restored, with rusty finish and solid blond walnut top. Officina di Ricerca signs the restoration work for this recovered industrial workbench, the structure of which was sandblasted and then acid-etched to achieve a natural rust finish of the iron parts, as well as the fronts of the six drawers. The profile frame was brushed to a high gloss, and the whole thing was then finished in clear two-component so that the effect obtained was permanently locked in place. The three drawers on each front, for a total of six drawers, have original chrome-plated steel handles. The 5-cm-thick worktop, including 2.5 cm of solid blond walnut planking, was taken from a mid-century parsonage table, sanded and finished in neura wax that extrapolated its natural grain. The upper deck with shelf support in wood finish, is traversed at the top by a longitudinal pulley to which 8 hooks can be attached, and each can slide along the entire length of the counter... This part was called the " overhead crane." The overhead crane is detachable by two bolts from the bench, apt to obtain an ordinary flat bench. The feet are insulated from the ground with special rubber felt strongly robust given the weight of the table. However, an M12 thread is provided at the base of each foot for the engagement of 4 wheels (supplied) to facilitate movement.
