Unique Gothic Revival two shelf sculpture stand with a beautiful patina.
This impressive and adjustable Gothic stand dates from circa 1890. To find this rare and sizeable antique more than made our day, also, because we had never seen such a Gothic antique before.
Over the decades we have made clients happy with a variety of rare and beautiful antiques in the Gothic style, but this stunning and very good condition pedestal or sculpture easel must be new to many of you as well. The architectural Gothic design with its Eifeltower-like tiers truly is a joy to behold. Also, because the entire structure comes with Gothic details all around. The most eye-catching being the cathedral window-like bows on all sides. They too make this piece stand out from anything we ever saw. This handcrafted and hand-carved antique also is in excellent condition. The square top is slightly curved, but it rotates perfectly and it is adjustable in height.
If you have the space for it then it will look stunning. Especially with a sculpture or a large buste on top. The extra tier at the bottom serves two purposes. Firstly, it gives this stand extra stability and it actually is as stable as the day it was made. Secondly, you have the possibility of displaying another item there.
Whatever you use this stand for, this large and impressive work of Gothic Art will instantly change the look and feel of the space it is in.
