We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning reverse breakfront twin pedestal partner desk handmade in England by the Skilled Craftsman E.G Hudson.
A very well-made and very solid desk. The timber is sublime flamed hardwood, it is book cut, so the craftsman used matching pieces to keep the grain in the same form.
The style 'reverse breakfront' means that your seating area is recessed inside the desk's frame; this is amazing for reaching all corners. The leather top is cut from premium cattle hide leather and then hand dyed.
The desk has been restored by one of the best restorers in the UK, using the traditional English methods passed down from generation to generation. The wood has been washed back, French polished and restored to its former glory. The leather has also been stripped back and hand-dyed in this beautiful color.
The desk has above each top side drawer fixed flamed hardwood butler serving shelf; originally, these were designed for your butler to bring drinks and snacks; however, nowadays, they are used as mouse shelves when using a computer.
The desk is designed to be split into three conveniently more accessible transport pieces and to fit easily in your home. The left pedestal has a serial number stamped; the handles are all original and in the regency style.
