About the Item
A 1970s pedestal in faceted green onyx, sourced in the South of France. The fifteen-sided form rests on a deep charcoal marble base, its geometry crisp and sculptural. The onyx surface shimmers with tonal variation—translucent layers of celadon, amber, rust, and ecru that shift with the light.
Completed with a pentagonal top, the piece serves equally well as a sculptural plinth, dramatic drink table, or a standalone accent in an entryway or powder room.
Condition: Great vintage condition. Minor surface scuffs are visible throughout, consistent with age. The top is a removable pentagonal slab and is not affixed to the base. The charcoal marble base is intact with a few shallow scratches.
