A singular work by self-taught American artist Curtis Norton, this hand-forged steel table functions as both utilitarian object and sculptural form. Fabricated from 1 1/8" and 5/8" solid steel bars, the organically composed base supports a 15-inch diameter marble top, creating a tension between raw industrial material and refined surface.
Standing at 35.5 inches in height, the piece operates equally well as a plant stand, side table, or pedestal. Its expressive, almost calligraphic steelwork reflects Norton's intuitive approach to material and form—hallmarks of his self-directed artistic practice.
This work comes directly from the artist’s personal collection and is a rare opportunity to acquire a unique piece by a maker whose output is as sculptural as it is functional.
