About the Item

Top-quality French table or stand with tapering serpentine wrought iron legs with scrolled / leaf details and striking Portoro marble top. Attributed to Raymond Subes (1893-1970), a renowned French designer / metalworker whose pieces feature metal- primarily wrought iron and marble. Subes designed not only hand forged wrought iron furniture, but also fittings and architectural elements for monuments, cathedrals and many ocean liners, circa 1930s-1950s.
