About the Item

A striking and very high quality pair of French mid 19th century Neo-Classical st. mahogany and ormolu pedestal columns. Each circular pedestal is raised by three elegantly curved legs with richly chased paw feet and palmette accents. The circular central support displays a fine mottled bottom border and elegant fitted fluted reserves leading upwards. Above are three unique and most decorative architectural columns each displaying mottled and finely etched top and bottom ormolu caps. The circular top display tiers also display elegant mottled borders. Top Diameter: 15.5"
