About the Item

Fantastic large 19th Century French iron table. A wonderful example of the passion the French had for wrought ironware in the 19th Century. The base has been formed to represent an elegant shape and the sheet iron top brings the whole together to create a table of great beauty and perfect proportions. Featuring traces of it's original green paint is still evident. Although this would be great in a garden it would be even more astonishing as a console or a serving table inside or perhaps as a center table in a large hall. Circa 1870.
