About the Item

Side table hand-made in France in the late 1700s using walnut for the base and chestnut for the top. The table has beautiful color, character and proportions. The legs are hand-turned in helicoidal shape and sit on bun feet. The legs are connected with cross stretcher made of three sections that meet in the middle and are mortised to each other and kept in place with a hand-carved finial. The top features two chestnut boards with ogee edges that are pegged to the flat apron, where we find a single inset drawer with beautiful, hand-made dovetail joints. Overall this is an exquisite decorative table that will bring a pop of color and style to any room it is added. Its relatively small size make it perfect form many spaces: it will be perfect as a welcoming piece in a foyer, as well as a side table next to a couch or reading chair.
