About the Item

Side table hand-crafted in Italy in the mid 1700s using walnut. The table has fantastic character and patina, as well as beautiful proportions and small decorative elements that make it pop. The top features two walnut boards chamfered in two breadboards at the ends. The apron is flat and finished on all sides, and on the front we find a single overlay drawer with ogee edges and a wooden knob. The drawer shows beautiful, large, hand-made dovetail joints. The legs are hand-turned in a bobbin pattern followed by thinner disks sitting on blocks where the I stretcher is mortised. The table still sits on its small bun feet. The apron features an hand-carved ogee edge. Overall this is a gorgeous little table that has fun, elegant lines. The bobbin legs add a subtle decorative element. Its height make it perfect as a side table next to your favorite reading chair or couch, where snacks, drinks and your favorite book are easily reachable.
