About the Item
Cotswold School walnut side table with drawer having ebony handles. After Peter Waals. Circa 1930s.
Beautifully crafted from solid African walnut, with exposed tenons to the double stretcher. The drawer front having a stepped design with pitched macassar ebony handles. The drawer interior with hand made dovetail construction. The whole with chamfered edged detail.
The table has been sympathetically and lightly re-finished by hand in a pale shellac, and has a smooth waxed finish, still retaining light authentic marks to highlight its genuine heritage. Is is very sturdy in structure with no loose joints.
The drawer works very well, there are a few marks to the interior.
Delivery included to mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland. Via a two person team.
