This charming cylindrical side table, often referred to as a “somno” or “somno table”, was crafted in France circa 1870 and offers both decorative appeal and practical storage. Built of richly figured walnut, the table is topped with an inset circular leather panel, bordered with delicate gold tooling and showing attractive timeworn patina consistent with age and use.
The drum-form body conceals a single door that opens to reveal interior shelving, making it ideal for use as a bedside table, lamp stand, or occasional cabinet.
