This finely crafted antique gateleg table is constructed of solid English oak with a rich, deep patina developed over centuries. The oval drop-leaf top rests on a sturdy frame featuring well-turned baluster legs and stretchers, joined by square blocks and ending in classic bun feet. The twin drop leaves are supported by gate-style swinging legs, a hallmark of the period.
The table exhibits pegged joinery and hand-planed surfaces, consistent with late 17th to early 18th-century English craftsmanship.
