About the Item

19th century oak side table from France, with a beveled and hand carved decorated edge around the top, surrounding an exquisitely hand carved central scene, depicting scrolls, acanthus leaves and a central circular design. The top is supported on hand carved and scalloped x-stretcher legs, joined by a matching stretcher. The table has a single drawer, with an interesting carved drawer front. The table is raised on hand carved scroll feet, ending in paws.
