About the Item

19th-century Swedish oval side table with single drawer crafted in oak with turned legs joined by a trestle base. The table retains an old black painted finish that is distressed, revealing natural wood beneath; the paint is historic but not original to the piece. The tabletop shows age-related cracks and scratches, while dried old wormhole activity is visible in the base. Minor age-related separation is seen in the drawer planks, along with a small nick or gouge above the drawer front. The table’s oval form, balanced proportions, and restrained decoration make it a versatile accent piece. Restored, strong, and stable, it is ready for use as a side table or occasional table in a variety of interiors. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
