About the Item

19th-century Swedish pine side table retaining an old black painted finish with heavy surface wear that reflects long use. The table features long tapered fluted legs and decorative hand-carved triangular accents along the table skirt, adding visual interest to its slender form. The tabletop shows extensive distress, including nicks, gouges, cracks, and scratches consistent with age. On one side of the table two holes are visible in the skirt, indicating that an extension or additional element was once attached. This table has been restored, is strong and stable, and is ready for use. Its simple form, worn painted surface, and carved details make it a versatile accent table with authentic Scandinavian character.
