About the Item

19th century swedish pine bakers table circa 1850. Here we have a traditional scandinavian pine bakers table, which was used in the home to make the daily bread. Planked top surface with a shaped gallery front and back.  Raised on pine base, with 4 turned and carved legs, united by a floor level stretcher and storage slats. A real rustic piece, which would be ideal in the garden room, or functioning as a side table around the home. Good colour and appearance which should be embraced as it is, but could be cleaned back if desired.  Expected shrinkage to planks, with later 'let in' strips.  Surface marks to woodwork, later replaced slats to base. Height to surface: 30"
