A fine French 19th century Louis XVI style mahogany gueridon side or occasional table with a dark green marble top garnished in cast ormolu mounts, France, circa 1890. A circular inset marble top is beautifully veined and encircled by intricate gilt bronze trim. above a wide apron with bold, intertwining ormolu floral and foliate swags within recessed sides, raised on tapered fluted legs ending in bronze sabots. It is crafted of rich mahogany with finely carved details and crisp neoclassical lines displaying a wonderfully aged patina. Blending elegance and versatility, this piece exudes sophisticated warmth and French charm. This is a gorgeous table that will truly bring a sense of richness and quiet splendor to a room while great for everyday use.
