This striking antique pedestal side table is a finely crafted example of late 19th-century decorative woodworking, featuring a bold architectural presence and rich hand-carved detail throughout. The table is topped with an octagonal solid wood surface composed of wide planks, showcasing natural grain variation, age cracks, and a warm, time-softened patina that speaks to decades of use and history. The base is the true focal point, constructed in a dramatic cruciform form with intricately hand-cut Gothic Revival–inspired piercings. Each vertical panel features stylized cutouts and scalloped edges, creating depth, shadow, and visual rhythm from every angle.
