A stunning three legged and two tiered side table of coffee table from
cherry wood attributed to the manufacturer Ludwig Schmitt circa 1925 Vienna.
This side table shows two tiers in different diameters, which emphasizes the favorite geometric style in this Viennese Art Deco period.
The designer and manufacturer loved to play with different heights and sizes to create interesting furniture pieces based on far eastern elements and also influenced throughout the Bauhaus.
Solid cherrywood work at the feet and the circular connection stem with a beautiful starry veneer picture on the top features this side table.
Ludwig Schmitt was an important furniture maker located in the heart of Vienna, very similar to the Portois
Fix, just to name a few.
The condition is very good, shellac polished by hand produce a stunning warmth and depth.
