About the Item

This blue side table was designed by artist Isidro Blasco as part of his ongoing initiative The Table Project. Produced in Spain in 2025, the piece reflects Blasco’s interest in combining artistic expression with references drawn from design history and traditional craftsmanship. Built on a lacquered metal structure, the table features a tabletop that echoes the aesthetic of 1950s mosaic tables. The surface is composed of hand laid Maiolica tiles finished with enamel glazes, kiln fired at 100°C, and presented in shades of blue and yellow. This combination of materials and color creates a vibrant visual rhythm while maintaining strong graphic clarity and balance. The Table Project is an initiative founded by Isidro Blasco from his studio in the Carabanchel neighborhood of Madrid. Since 2019, the project has fostered the creation of unique artistic objects through collaboration and exchange, rooted in Spanish artisanal traditions and approached from a contemporary perspective. The side table embodies this spirit of community, experimentation, and dialogue between traditional techniques and contemporary art practice.
