It is timeless in its simplicity - a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. Crafted with the industrial technique of stick welding. Finished with a steel brush and sanded by hand to enhance the raw nature of steel.

Oscar Santens is a designer and craftsman, who gained hands-on experience with steel in the port of Antwerp. Beyond his technical knowledge, he enjoys working unconventionally; this independence keeps his thinking free, allowing him to explore alternative approaches and perspectives. Each of his objects is shaped solely by his own hands - carried, dragged and worked into form. Their weight and scale leave visible traces of human effort, marks of imperfection that a factory-made object could never bear. It is precisely this raw authenticity that gives his work its unique beauty and creates a profound connection between human and object.
