Top in tempered ultra-clear glass with a mirrored finish. Pyrex tube leg base with a mirrored finish. The metallic brilliance creates an optical illusion, evoking a perfect future not belonging to the past.
The elegance and vintage look of this early 21st Century design haven't lost any of their commercial appeal over the years.
Ramon Úbeda is the Renaissance Man of design moving easily between creating, directing and writing on the subject.
The journey of Otto Calalda to becoming a successful designer brought him into the manufacturing facilities of his client companies.
In 1972, a group of young architects and designers from Barcelona started BD. Our aim was to produce and market furniture and objects for our own projects, with complete creative freedom and design criteria—both in shape and in function—that was different from the sector norm.
For a long time, our commercial name was BD Ediciones de Diseño. The company was unlike other furniture manufacturers, difficult to categorise because of the diversity of our catalogue. This eclecticism and the space to tap into all corners of our imagination—plus quality manufacturing—continues to be the hallmark of the company.
