About the Item

Early 19th c French Marble Topped Directoire Sewing Table With Isle of Man Feet, c1800. The octangular inset marble topped shelf has a conforming wooden surround and gallery surrounded edge. The octangular mid-shelf with galleried surround to hold sewing supplies. The central ring turned and tapering shaft terminates on Isle of Man style anthropomorphized feet.
