About the Item

This French Art Nouveau period walnut side table from the turn of the twentieth century is signed by the renowned artist Galle (Emile Galle 1846-1904). The tabletop features intricate inlay in lemonwood and rosewood of leaves and flowers. The table top rests on curved legs that form two opposing half circles and are joined by a chevron shaped stretcher that provides stability. An elegant piece placed beside a chair, circa 1900.
