About the Item

Bring a touch of Bordeaux charm to your wine cellar or kitchen with this unique antique bistro table. Crafted in southwestern France circa 1920, the table features a circular oak wine barrel top secured with its original metal straps and stenciled with the historic inscription “Château Montrose,” referencing the renowned Saint-Estèphe Second Growth estate from the 1855 Bordeaux classification. The top rests on an ornate cast iron pedestal base, beautifully detailed with acanthus leaf motifs, spiral fluting, and paw feet. The combination of rustic oak and industrial cast iron creates an elegant contrast, blending provincial authenticity with timeless French character. This table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich, weathered patina that reveals its history and use in the vineyards of Bordeaux. Perfect as a wine-tasting table, side table, or conversation piece in any space. Measures: 27″ diameter × 30.5″ height.
