About the Item
A stunning and rare scaled Florentine 19th century Ormolu and Pietra Dura marble side table. This wonderfully decorative table is raised by a richly chased Ormolu base with handsome scrolled legs ending with pawed feet. The legs display a dramatically scrolled shape while joined above to a circular inverted turned finial and beaded band. The tapered Ormolu socle above displays an elegant satin and burnished finish while supporting the spiral fluted central column. Atop the column is a striking gadrooned mount before a mottled socle and Ormolu band, which connects three scrolled Ormolu supports that elevate the circular top. The stunning Pietra Dura marble top displays a central inlaid blossoming rose surrounded by wonderfully detailed foliage. All original gilt throughout.
