About the Item
19th Century Neoclassical Bronze and Marble Gueridon Table, masterfully combining bronze sculpture and fine marble. Table features a circular black marble top with natural veining and a polished edge, resting on a dramatic patinated bronze pedestal. The central support is adorned with garlanded floral swags, classical motifs, and a trio of beautifully cast figural putti--each childlike figure holding a torch in a spirited dance around the base. The tripod base rests on a stepped beveled plinth echoing the top's stonework. Bronze has a nicely aged verdigris patina.
This table is ideal as a statement side table, a centerpiece in large entryway, or a sophisticated drink table.
