Measures: 60 cm high, 38 cm diameter
What’s particular about Andreas Berlin's work resides in the use of different elements or vintage objects found in Berliner antique shops. Once objects are selected, Andreas assembles these various vases and decorative items in order to obtain a full piece. In this case a table base or a shelf structure. Sometimes it takes him more than a hundred objects for an elegant and balanced final composition. Andreas Berlin thereafter reinforces his composition and finishes off by placing a plank of plexiglass or aluminium to give him his utilitarian character.
Andreas Berlin studied Design and Interior Architecture at RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences. Several of his furniture product designs has been realized and presented on fairs and shows by renowned premium brands. The Sofa „b-flat“ for Leolux is since 2005 still successfully joining the market. With its potential of a design classic, it has been awarded in 2006 by the Interior Innovation Award Cologne and won the famous Red Dot Design Award in 2007. Further design awards followed.
