About the Item
The product is made by sand casting - pouring molten aluminium or brass into sand moulds. Product surface is finished by hand-polishing to desired smoothness (brushed or polished) and treating it (oxidising or ageing) into one of the available finish options.
This process means that every table is unique. Due to the sand casting method, as well as the use of recycled metals, there may be slight differences between products in terms of texture and colour, which is not a defect in the product. In any of the available finishes, the natural grain of the sand is visible and adds character to each piece.
The product consists of table top and table base fixed together with a rod, all made from 100% aluminium or brass depending on the selected finish. Table base is fitted with a 4mm thick steel sheet for extra stability. The base underside is lined with thin layer of rubber to protect your floor.
