About the Item
The Metric Stool and Table translates Philipp Aduatz’s characteristic sculptural language into a compact and versatile studio edition piece. Handcrafted in small batches in collaboration with Austrian manufacturer incremental3d, it combines expressive form with advanced additive manufacturing.
Each piece is 3D-printed from a recycled, cement-based material developed specifically for this process. The terrazzo-like top surface is created by embedding recycled fragments from previous production cycles directly into the print, giving every piece a unique identity and emphasizing the principles of circular design.
Soft color gradients are achieved through precise pigment dosing during printing, accentuating the fluid geometry and tactile quality of the object. Designed to function both as a stool and a side table, the Metric Stool and Table offers a sculptural yet practical presence within contemporary interiors.
As part of an ongoing, unnumbered studio series, each piece is produced to order. Variations in texture, color flow, and surface details are inherent to the process and contribute to the individuality of every stool.
Note on Material Variations
Each piece is produced with recycled fragments from previous production runs, which are integrated into the surface during printing. These variations in texture, orientation and color are inherent to the process and contribute to the individuality of each object.
They are not imperfections, but unique characteristics of the material and the production technique.
Small variations may therefore occur from piece to piece.
