About the Item

This superb side table with a glass vide poche was crafted in France circa 1950. The rare geometric three-foot stand features its original black-painted metal, with chromed metal ball feet and ends. The stand securely holds a heavy, round, molded art glass ashtray or catchall. Lumax crafted this industrial, thick molded glass ashtray in their factory in France. There is no visible designer's mark. Measurements: 13 in wide (33 cm) by 12.63 in deep (32 cm) by 25 in high (63.5 cm). The vide-poche is 5.32 in diameter (13.5 cm) by 3.94 in high (10 cm).
