About the Item

Antique Federal period cherry stand with a single drawer, made in New England, circa 1820. Designed after the style of George Hepplewhite, this elegant stand is crafted of rich cherry wood featuring an overhanging rectangular tabletop above a single hand dovetailed drawer with a diminutive brass knob raised on straight square tapering legs. A fine example of 19th century skilled craftsmanship showcasing delicate, clean lines and symmetry with a stunning, warm patina. This is a beautiful table and a highly versatile piece which could be a serving or worktable, nightstand or side table.
