About the Item
This elegant pair of antique French demi-lune console tables was crafted in oak in the late 19th century, circa 1880, in the Louis XIII style. Designed to rest against a wall, each console features a refined half-moon form with a molded top above a restrained architectural apron accented by subtle geometric paneling.
Each table is supported by four finely turned barley-twist legs, a defining characteristic of Louis XIII furniture, joined by a shaped lower stretcher that echoes the demi-lune silhouette and adds both visual balance and structural stability. The oak displays a warm, richly developed patina, highlighting the depth of the turning and the quality of the craftsmanship.
