About the Item
A sensational and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and white Carrara marble side tables. This wonderful pair of Gueridon tables are raised by three scrolled legs ending with hooves below elongated acanthus leaves. The bottom of the legs are joined by triangular shaped tiers with mottled borders and handsome central Urns of Prosperity. The three concave legs, with outer reeded designs, lead to very decorative top Ram's heads with rings in their mouths. The top Ormolu galleries surround the fitted marble tops and display outer wave like designs below the mottled top edge.
