About the Item
A stunning pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Rouge Griotte marble, Glass and Ormolu side tables. Each table is raised on a square Ormolu plinth with concave corners and a spiral fluted designed Ormolu socle support above accented by a berried laurel wreath and a spiral fluted neck. The marble body is decorated with a pierced foliate Ormolu support with central flowers. Each side displays an acanthus leaf back plate which presents 'C' scrolled swans that are holding swaging berried floral garlands that connect to the hanging floral decorations between both swans. The mottled Ormolu top cap of each urn showcases a beaded Ormolu band, pierced fluted designs, and an acorn top finial. The square Starfire Clear Glass tops are designed with concave corners and green tinted edges.
