About the Item

Kingwood side table with two platforms and four elegantly curved legs with gilt bronze sabots. Stamped ‘Ruhlmann’ and with the Atelier ‘A’ mark. Reference number 1001NR in the Ruhlmann Archives, Musée des Années 30, Boulogne Billancourt. Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann (1879-1933) was a French furniture designer and interior decorator and one of the most important and influential figures of the Art Deco movement, even considered by some the godfather of French Art Deco. His designs are characterized through elegance and purity of form, made with precious materials and expert craftsmanship, combining luxuriousness with modernity.
