Sculptural Side Table - Charred Oak Wood

Studio Alexander Knysch focuses on unique furniture design, larger interior installations, and artistic objects. Alexander’s work centers on organic materials such as wood, stone, earth, glass, and metal. All pieces are sculpted directly by hand. This makes each piece unique, showcasing the craftsmanship and reflecting the human touch involved in the work. The creation process of new pieces is highly hands-on, involving continuous experimentation with shapes, materials, and techniques to evoke emotions that cannot be planned or generated on paper or through digital modeling. Every piece is handcrafted by Alexander and his team in his studio near Stuttgart, Germany. „Design and art are very similar; both trigger emotions. It’s nearly impossible to define or plan great art. I see it the same way with my furniture – you can set parameters like size, color, and function, but the artistic aspect is born in the process – during the work with the material.“
