Fredrikson Stallard, UK Designers, side table 'Crush', 2012, Limited Edition of 20 + 2P + 2AP. Water polished aluminum sheet is hand formed by the artists and enclosed in a glass box. The table reflects its surroundings in an abstract, chameleon like way. For these pieces, Fredrikson Stallard work with sheet metal, forming it by hand to produce the dynamic ‘crushed’ effect. Although strict control and force has been applied in the creation process, the metal is allowed freedom to react the way it wants to, retaining a feeling of spontaneity and effortlessness in the final piece. Glass, stainless steel, polished aluminum.
This incredible table is new and has a tiny flaw on the bottom side of the metal, which is so small / imperceptible that it's unable to be captured in a photo. The listing price is adjusted to reflect the imperfection.
