About the Item

Willy Van Der Meeren designed this high side table, model T2, for Tubax in 1954. The three-legged frame is made of black painted metal tubes, the top is covered with printed vinyl. This table is in good vintage condition. The print on the vinyl is a little faded. This T2 is complete original of the 1950s. I arrived at this design because I hate those endless extension pieces that get stuck and always have to be stored somewhere. A table is more stabile on three legs and the American and Norwegian prefabricated boards, 1.22 x 2.44 m, enable you to make two large and two small table-tops, plus two tops for bedside cabinets, without any waste. The table with extension pieces is replaced by two separate tables, one for the dining area and the other to work on. They can be put together for a larger group.
