An elegantly handcrafted vintage Chinese plant stand, exquisitely carved from solid hardwood in a faux bamboo motif. The turned round top, inset within a gently raised rim, rests above a deeply open‑worked carved apron depicting traditional scroll and floral motifs. Six gracefully curved “bamboo” legs join at the base with a low, circular stretcher—creating a sculptural silhouette with airy balance.
A distinctive metal trade‑mark plaque—emblazoned with a galloping horse and the legend “TRADE MARK · SHANGHAI CHINA / 中国 上海”—attests to Shanghai craftsmanship, suggesting production for export during the mid-20th century.
